If any Chicagoans missed the fact that today was Halloween,
all they had to do was look out a window. It was raining! In case you missed
it, we had a drought here in the Midwest
summer—a bad one. But, today being Halloween and with rain forecast for late
evening, it of course started raining about 4:30—just as Trick-or-Treat
rush-hour traffic got started.
Never fails. We’ve had crummy weather on Halloween for as
long as I can remember. The day before and the day after will be lovely, but
put a Chicago-area child into a Halloween costume and Mother Nature gets outright
Feel free to send your kids over; I’ve got candy to give
Well, as we say here a lot: wait till next year.
